Terms of Service
Effective date:
These Terms govern your use of our website and your booking of courier services with Tentens Couriers (“we”, “us”). By using the site or requesting a quote, you agree to these Terms.
1. Services
We provide courier services locally (Queensland Australia and surrounds) and interstate (Australia-wide), subject to availability and the restrictions in these Terms.
2. Quotes & pricing
- Quotes are based on details you provide (pickup/drop-off, timing, dimensions/weight, access, wait times, tolls, etc.).
- Quotes may change if details differ at pickup/drop-off or additional services are required.
- After-hours/urgent bookings, tolls, waiting time, re-delivery, storage, or difficult access may incur surcharges.
- All pricing is exclusive of GST unless stated otherwise.
3. Booking & cancellations
- A booking is confirmed when we accept your quote request (by email/SMS or invoice).
- Contact us as soon as possible to cancel or change a job; fees may apply if a driver has been dispatched.
- We may decline or cancel a job for safety, legal, capacity, or other reasonable reasons.
4. Packaging & loadability
- You are responsible for suitable packaging and accurate dimensions/weight.
- Items must be safe to handle and fit within our vehicle specifications.
- We may refuse items that are improperly packaged or unsafe.
5. Prohibited or restricted items
We cannot carry: dangerous goods (unless agreed in writing and compliant), illegal items, weapons/ammunition, live animals, cash/bullion, perishable goods without suitable packaging, temperature-controlled goods (unless agreed), biohazards, and any item that breaches law or carrier restrictions. If in doubt, ask before booking.
6. Pickup, delivery & access
- Ensure safe, lawful access at pickup and delivery points and that someone is available to hand over/receive the goods.
- If no one is available, re-delivery/return fees may apply.
- Authority to Leave (ATL): if you request ATL, we can leave the goods at the indicated location and risk transfers to you upon delivery.
7. Proof of delivery (POD)
We may record POD by name/signature, photo, GPS or timestamp. Keep your contact details up to date.
8. Delays & force majeure
We aim to meet requested timeframes (including same-day), but time is not of the essence. We are not liable for delays outside our reasonable control (traffic, weather, accidents, breakdowns, public events, emergencies, or force majeure).
9. Loss, damage & liability
Our liability for loss or damage arising from a carriage job is limited to the lesser of: (a) the value of the goods at the time of loss, capped at AUD $1,000 per consignment, or (b) the cost of re-supply of the services, unless you arrange and pay for additional declared-value cover with us in writing before pickup. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, damage due to inadequate packaging or inaccurate information, inherent vice, or items excluded in §5.
10. Customer warranties
- You have the right to consign the goods and all information provided is accurate.
- Goods are properly packaged, lawful to carry, and won’t cause damage or injury.
- You will reimburse reasonable costs arising from false/insufficient information.

- Late/non-payment may incur admin fees, interest, and recovery costs.
12. Website use
